My point is that anyone trying to reach an informed conclusion about the usefulness of ammunition by examining the horribly bad shooting habits of most cops is just wasting time chasing irrelevant statistics. SHTF survival scenarios and modern-day cop scenarios are wildly different, too.
Much of the Pacific Coast was under martial law after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Even worse, our country already has a history of the domestic use of the armed forces without a declaration of martial law. In 1871, President Grant sent troops into South Carolina to confiscate all private guns. My NEW gun prices are fairly accurate but because of the fluctuating dollar and sometimes my clumsiness, it's always a good idea to get an updated quote. I source all my NEW firearms from the recognized Australian agents who can offer factory warranties etc. I do not deal with dodgy "Gray" importers!
Aug 07, 2014 · Limited or no ammo availability for my SHTF Guns meant the brass has to last as long as possible. Semi-auto rifles are harder on brass than bolt, falling block or other type’s rifles. With semi-autos, you have brass elongation; you need to trim your brass frequently, full-length size on every load. And after a few reloads, you basically run out of brass life.
For short term shtf, like a natural disaster or or prolonged power outage , one of my AR's. Probably my 10.5 inch with an Aimpoint Pro. For long term , apocalyptic type shit, I'm not really sure I'd want something with an optic that relies on batteries. Just one more thing I'd need to stock/find. Many people, after prepping for awhile, begin to realize their preps are covered in the food and weapons arenas. Medical preparedness is decidedly less glitzy, but it is integral to a well-rounded plan for thriving during times of difficulty. My work fills that void for the average Joe.
Best Guns When Shtf Those sharing my nephew's view within the need to for survival in the wild end up being prepared in advanced. Weapons, tools, food supplies, shelter and medical needs in order to be taken into mind. An array of knives would be the largest collection that I'd accumulate in case the need arose. However, this class of guns are not suitable for SHTF scenario due to poor power. They also have high recoil that will limit your firing rate and accuracy and the stopping power is not sufficient for self-defense on short range. In short, you don’t just pick a gun for use in a SHTF simply because it can fit in your pocket.
it depends what kind of shtf scenario we're pretending happened. is it just a shtf or is it teotwawki? in a shtf if somebody needs shot i most likely want other people in the general area to know that the mo fo over there has a gun and will use it. so unless you're cool, you better just stay the fok away.
Oct 09, 2018 · My view on this scenario is skewed in a bad way. I do not live in NYC, hell, I have only been there a couple of times. All I really know about NYC is what I see on TV. From everything I see, I hate it and could not imagine living there. My perceptions are probably not realist. I see all those people as the enemy if a SHTF time occurs. Much of the Pacific Coast was under martial law after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Even worse, our country already has a history of the domestic use of the armed forces without a declaration of martial law. In 1871, President Grant sent troops into South Carolina to confiscate all private guns.
There's nothing worse than arriving at the campsite or facing an emergency without the right gear. Being prepared is ensuring you have the best camping equipment, food storage, survival kits and medical supplies. Sep 19, 2017 · They can also be extremely helpful if one gets into a car accident in a remote area and help is a long way off. I personally always keep a small sleeping bag and tent in my vehicle. Granted the vehicle Lily has in this video is smaller so it looks like this stuff takes up a lot of space. I come to this forum to be entertained, and to get tid-bits of information. Go out, travel, live a little, loosen up. Maybe associate with some people other than that gun club you keep talking about. I personally love reading these SHTF scenarios, and get great delight in excerising my imagination.

If I lived in a very rural area, my “only” SHTF gun would still be a .22LR rifle. I can carry enough rounds in a pocket to eat 500 small birds, squirrels, rabbits, pigs, and deer. Plus, still be able to defend myself if I tried to avoid people. > The 22 is for other people to use while you watch for trouble with your battle rifle.
Instead of blogging here on the When The SHTF blog over the past week or so, I got busy reading more on container gardening, watched videos about the same, and slowly started my container gardening. I worked on article writing (not published yet. Here’s my recommendation to the “NEW” prepper/survivalist on a budget. The bad news: You’ve come late to the party and most of the cake has been eaten. The good news: You didn’t miss the party! Don’t forget to acquire the advanced knowledge of how the bad guys are going to operate described in my book “The SHTF Art of War.”
Oct 17, 2008 · SHTF I would choose my 1911 and AR15s. I would then try and acquire a .40 S&W and 9mm as well as a 12ga and .22LR since such ammo would be easier to get and replenish when my supply runs dry. This reminds me that I should pick up 2 high quality backpacks for me and the wife as well as some good camping equipment. To put it plainly, in a full-blown SHTF scenario, guns are for man-killin’. So this business of planning to use the .357 revolver for SHTF hunting–I don’t even know what say. I mean, yeah, you could use it on deer or wild hogs (assuming you’re good enough to get in close and hit one), and then load it up with .38 Special for smaller game.
